Videos and frames

  • Videos you add are decoded in your browser. The video file is never uploaded to our servers.
  • When you run a Quick or Deep Search, the frames you selected (compressed JPEG stills, at most 20) are sent to our server and passed to Google Cloud Vision for web matching. We do not write the frames to storage; they are discarded when the request finishes.
  • We keep a SHA-256 fingerprint of each searched frame and the list of matching public links, so you can reopen results. These records are deleted after 30 days.
  • Links you paste (TikTok, YouTube) are used to fetch the public cover image through the platform’s official oEmbed endpoint. The cover is returned to your browser and not stored.
  • We do not perform face recognition and do not build profiles of people shown in videos.

Account data

You sign in with Google. We receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google and store them with your account, along with your credit balance and order history. Delete your account at any time by emailing us; we remove your account, search history and saved results within 30 days, except payment records we must keep for tax and accounting.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. We store the order number, amount, product and the email Stripe returns.

Analytics and cookies

We use cookies needed to keep you signed in and to remember where you arrived from (for 30 days). We may use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand how the site is used. Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland see a consent banner, and these analytics load only after you accept. Elsewhere they load by default and you can opt out from the footer link.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, a correction or deletion by emailing hello@videoreversesearch.com. We don’t sell personal data.
